Hello, I’m Maria — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a certified Somatic Breathwork Facilitator and the founder of Mind Body Breath Healing.

This space was born from my own deep transformation over the past six years — through yoga, somatic therapy, breathwork, life-changing experiences and immersive time within Māori indigenous wisdom in Aotearoa (New Zealand), which so beautifully mirrors our own Celtic roots.

Alongside a fast-paced career in sales and marketing in the corporate tech world, I was quietly walking another path — one of self-inquiry, inner healing and spiritual growth. After years of working in high-pressure environments — from corporate office life to the ever-on world of hospitality — I saw firsthand how burnout, anxiety and disconnection slowly wear us down. While I thrived on drive and connection, I knew something essential was missing.

That calling led me to breathwork, somatic practices and the healing power of presence. And when I finally chose myself — over burnout, people-pleasing and playing small — I began to come home to who I truly am.

Through unblocking and unlearning the pain, shame and programming we all carry, I found freedom, authenticity and joy. I discovered that healing isn’t linear — we ebb and flow, rise and fall, grow and return. But each time we come back, we return softer, stronger and more aware.

Now, I hold space for others to do the same — to pause, to breathe and to remember who they are beneath the noise. I guide transformative experiences using breathwork, music, somatic movement, meditation, cacao and connection. I also use my voice, along with crystal singing bowls, drums, guitars and other instruments, as tools for sound healing — creating vibrational frequencies that support emotional release, energetic balance and deep nervous system regulation.

This work is deeply personal, intuitive and rooted in both science and ancient wisdom. It’s not about fixing — it’s about remembering. Reclaiming. Realigning. It’s about choosing presence over perfection. Truth over performance. And love over fear.

The breath always brings us home — to centre, to stillness, to peace — no matter where we are, no matter the moment. It is our anchor, our guide, and our gateway back to ourselves.

After years in New Zealand, my journey has brought me full circle in 2024 — now back home to Ireland. And now, I’m here to serve, to share and to support you in finding your way home too.

Soma Breathwork is a science-backed, holistic practice that combines ancient breathing techniques, somatic movement, and music-driven meditation to promote deep relaxation, emotional release, and mental clarity. It’s ancient wisdom fused with modern science — helping you move energy through the body, elevate your mood, and create positive habits while releasing stress and emotional blockages.

At its core, Soma Breath is a powerful fusion of rhythmic breathing patterns, CO₂ and oxygen regulation, and guided visualizations, designed to reset the nervous system, improve overall health, and help you feel more alive, connected, and resilient.

the science behind it:

As infants, we breathe deeply and naturally with our diaphragm. Over time, stress and environmental factors shift our breathing patterns to shallow chest breathing — a survival response that, if left unchecked, can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, fatigue, and immune suppression.

Stress causes shallow breathing — and shallow breathing, in turn, triggers stress. This loop can contribute to a wide range of health issues, including adrenal fatigue, poor cognitive function, low energy, and cellular aging.

By practicing diaphragmatic breathing — often guided through Soma Breath techniques and inspired by practices like Yoga and Pranayama — we can regulate the nervous system, improve heart rate variability, and promote both mental and physical wellbeing.
